Cubs' Ramirez leaves with sore shoulder (AP)

Chicago Cubs third baseman Aramis Ramirez left the game in the fifth inning Saturday night against Colorado with soreness in his left shoulder. Jake Fox replaced Ramirez in the field in the bottom of the inning. Ramirez was 0 for 3 with two strikeouts. He also bobbled a hard grounder in the fourth, an error that contributed to a four-run inning for the Rockies.

Griffey's 622nd HR keys M's win in Texas (AP)

Ken Griffey Jr. hit his 622nd career home run and Felix Hernandez pitched seven solid innings to lead the Seattle Mariners to a 7-2 win over the Texas Rangers on Saturday night. Griffey's three-run shot in the first came off Rangers starter Tommy Hunter, the 400th different pitcher he has homered off in his career.
