Angels complete 3-game sweep of Rays (AP)

Gary Matthews Jr. put the Angels ahead with three-run homer in the sixth, Howie Kendrick added another three-run shot in the seventh, and Los Angeles finished a three-game sweep of the Tampa Bay Rays with a 10-5 victory Wednesday. Chone Figgins had three hits and scored the first run in a five-run seventh for the Angels, who improved to a season-best 24 games over .500.

Guerrero’s 400th HR helps Angels by Rays (AP)

Vladimir Guerrero homered twice, including the 400th of his career to put the Angels ahead in the seventh inning, Kendry Morales also hit two homers, and the Los Angeles Angels went on to an 8-7 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays on Monday night. Guerrero extended his hitting streak to a season-high 12 games a week after coming off the disabled list for the second time this season.

O’s deal Zaun to Rays, Wieters to start (AP)

The Orioles have traded catcher Gregg Zaun to the Tampa Bay Rays, clearing the way for rookie Matt Wieters to become Baltimore's main backstop. The Orioles received cash or a player to be named later. They also called up Chad Moeller from Triple-A Norfolk on Friday to take Zaun's place on the roster.

Crawford had three hits, three RBIs and stole his 49th base of the season, leading the Tampa Bay Rays past the Kansas City Royals 10-4 on Monday. The Rays' All-Star left fielder went 3 for 3 against Greinke (10-7) after having just one hit in 16 previous at-bats against him.
